Guest kycaver Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) I have an i910 through Verizon which gets decent signal at my house. There is a new tower within 1 mile of my house that is owned by Bluegrass Cellular. It is a CDMA network. Why isnt my phone working off of it? Any ideas? Edited January 2, 2010 by kycaver

Well, its not a Verizon tower, so thats the answer. They could lease usage from it but it would seem obvious that they do not. Just because the network tech is the same (CDMA) doesn't mean the tower will get used. Now, its possible it could be used if you had no connection to Verizon towers, but that would induce roaming charges. Also, if there is an agreement between Bluegrass and Verizon for usage, it could be that the tower is too new, or you need to update the phone's network info byt dialing *228 (or whatever the programming number is) and hitting 2 at the prompt.
