Showaco Titanium Weather problem - Solved!

It is a while since I have used Titanium as my primary today screen, but constant restarts with M2D v2 have driven me back to giving it another go. Really like it but am having all sorts of trouble getting titanium weather (the older v3 or the new 4.2) to update. I just keep getting red crosses where the icons should be and no information. I remember having this problem a while ago and fixing it with an updated mscr file. This time I have tried a number of mscr files from the xda developers thread but no joy.

Anybody else having this problem or have any solutions?

Just for information I have been trying it on Ocks classic rom and on a number of Nick's roms. Mainly 28xx and 23xx Roms.

Install the .cab from HERE. The .cab file has the updated mscr in so it's ready to go

thanks for the link - some really nice icons etc there.

Unfortunatly it does not work for me. I installed it and it showed up on the today screen with icons and the needs setup message, but once I go through setup it just gives me the red crosses after updating.

Its working, proven and tested on the Omnia. It has the mscr in already. Make sure to install to device memory and make sure all prev. versions are uninstalled. Also make sure your DATA connection is on

I think my Omnia is cursed :) still not working even after an install after hard reset. I am wondering if it might be something to do with running Opera Mobile 10 beta? I will try it again after a fresh rom install and before installing anything else.

Yahhhhh - I seem to have solved my problem at least. Once I installed the cab linked to by lioryte and actually had a good look at the error message that I was getting I found that TW was trying to connect through "the internet" whereas my data connection is actually called "my internet".

A quick edit in notepad and now I have updating weather!
