I have Samsung Omnia I900 My previous FW was Ryrzys WM6.5 28014 rom maybe the battery is empty. always make sure you have at least 50% battery when flashing. try what everybody always suggested. take out the battery for a few minutes. put it in, fully charge it. then try to turn it on again. if you got omnia welcome screen, you can flash again.
Guest Dj Lukas Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 I had 100% of battery. BTW How can I charge my battery when my phone is death?
Guest andylyf Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 good news is that now u have the perfect reason to buy an Omnia 2 or HTC HD2 or IPhone... :)
Guest ...angel... Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Fully charge your omnia then put off the battery for about 30 mins... Then try to turn it on,,,
Guest ock Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I had 100% of battery. BTW How can I charge my battery when my phone is death? It is quite unlikely that a successful flashing would "kill" your phone. Try this: 1. Remove the battery and wait for a few minutes. 2. Put it back and connect it to your charger without pressing the power button. The led should glow red. 3. Charge for an hour or until the red light turns green. 4. Try flashing again to see if your computer detects it. Have you tried a hard reset? After turning off the device, press and hold both call and end call buttons, and while still pressing them, press and hold the power/end button. Also, did you flash using the exe itself or GrandPrix?
Guest Dj Lukas Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) I tried to do hard reset but it didn't work. I never could make hard reset by pressing these three buttons, I don't now why. Now my phone is in service. I told them that i did hard reset and after that screen came black and led was red and nothing happends. Now I have to wait for a week and my phone will come back. PS I have warrancy. Thanks for you anwears. You're great. good news is that now u have the perfect reason to buy an Omnia 2 or HTC HD2 or IPhone... I thought that too that it could be a good reason to buy HTC HD 2, but I don't have money for that. It's to expesive for me, but I love this phone, it's amazing. Edited January 4, 2010 by Dj Lukas

Guest ^nighthawk^ Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I have same case from this TS......some body help me my omnia not warranty right now. You guys are charging your phones using an proper charger right? Not using a usb cable from the pc. I have flashed a couple times and had a phone not charge from pc, but it would charge from real charger. Once it charged I then hooked it up to pc, making sure mobile device center is not enabled for usb connections and then used Grandprix to flash to a different rom.
Guest cruddasj Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 It is possible to have a completely successful flash and yet still brick the phone. If you have used a download manager then this can be why.......they cause file corruption.
Guest downjones Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Dude if the device starts and you see the Omnia log...then nothing is a brick.... but it looks like there is an error or incompatibility in the rom inside....take the rom from Steff or Phdee....take the newest build...I'd suggest 23519 and now... 1. be sure you do this on windows XP........ 2. download i900 drivers for WinXP from samsung site and install them 3. take the battery of the phone...connect the phone to pc by USB..but don't turn it on 4. now start the updater.exe from the ROM that I've suggested 5. put the battery in and turn on the device....now you should hear a sound that an USB device is found......drivers will be loaded automatically.....if the updater.exe doesn't recognize your phone press reset button on the top-back-side of the phone itself. 6. now your phone should be recognized if it does happen press "start" for flashing..... STEP 7. if your phone doesn't start again after succesfull flash. In this case your Phone.bin (radio) got an error....download the latest phone radio PUIE1_phone.zip ...just google for it and then run SGH-I900 UMDL_GrandPrix_v1.8.3_XP.exe for the phone update.....you simply only choose there the phone part to be update...choose the phone.bin and voila!
