Guest Burevestnik Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Not sure if this has come up before, but I have been looking around and it does not seem like it has. All my previous phones which were Nokia's would recognise that a number of the kind 07blablabla is the same as +447blablabla and so whether it be text or call from you friend the name would flash up. My SPV seems to be unable to handle this kind of basic understanding of the way phonenetworks work. Is this an odd anomaly? Does everyone suffer? Is there a way around it? :?: :?: :?:
Guest HelloDave Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Not sure if this has come up before Many times - please try a search ;) Briefly, no, the SPV only understands numbers of the format +44... Have a look at the outlook contact reformatter thread.
Guest philgriffiths Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 if you replace the '0' at the beggining of the numbers in youre contacts with +44 with no space between the 44 and number then the spv will recognise the numbers as youre contacts when you recieve a txt.
