Guest arnoldrimmer Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) I have been playing around with a few of the 2.1 roms and have now gone back to MCR 3.0 by restoring a Nandroid backup. I now have a problem with Google Mail, which is that if I delete a message on my phone, it does not get synced back to Google. When I check on my desktop the message is still there. I tried clearing the Google Apps and Google Mail saved data and cache, but then I have to go through the account setup again and I get this error: “Can’t establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services.” Which from what I have read, the only fix for is a hard reset, so I restored from Nandroid again. Is there a way I can fix the sync problem without losing all my SMS messages and other settings? Edited January 4, 2010 by arnoldrimmer
Guest Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 You could use Mybackup Pro (or similar). I had this problem and cleared my cache to sort it. I don't remember. having to go through any registration process though. Does the error message still come up when you're connected over Wi-Fi?

Haven't tried it over wi-fi tbh, will give it a go later. Thanks for the suggestions :)
