I just made a call and the other person said me that the sound quality was too bad. I tried another call and the same problem...

Can you fix that?

Bye

Great job! Nice to finally see some action with Galaxy again! Are all the drivers you use opensource - e.g. does this mean after getting the camera&wifi to work, we can upgrade to any version of Android?

Btw if you need any help, send me a PM and i'll forward some IM info. I'm pretty good with ARM (in general, didn't do anything for qualcomm yet), general lowlevel coding and I like to poke around :)

Again, great job! I'm sure it was a lot of hard work.

lock fonction does works indeed but you forgot to add gps in the missing features list :)

To help you with your work I will repost the impressions of the people of the german-speaking "Android-Hilfe"-Community, so you can see what "bugs" are hidden in this build:

  • The "power-off"-button as Unlock-Button is for some people quite strange (but not so bad at all)
  • no GPS and Wifi (as you just told in your release-notes)
  • you can't search for "Mobile Networks"
  • google-synchronisation does not stop at all
  • some people get the impression that the Galaxy is getting unnormaly warm (maybe because of the google-sync all over the time)
  • bluetooth does not seem to work
  • the 3G-Symbol does not change when the phone is recieving/sending data
  • no german dictionary
  • some people seem to have problems with their extern SD-card. it will not be recognized
  • the speaker does not seem to work, when activated on a call
  • shazam does not work
  • you cant find all the apps in the market (for example "twidroid")

I hope this can help you working on the build! I can update the list, if you want to.

So thanks again for that build! And keep on going :) the (german) community is very happy about you and your great work!

My Galaxy seems to be in a startup loop :) the android loading graphic has been going for the last 5 minutes after flashing it on. what should i do?

You can just flash back another ROM, if you want your phone working again. If you want to help debugging then I don't know :)

Are you made wipe via recovery mode after flashing firmware?

Hey mustymod,

thank you for your great work. I think i speak for thousands of people who locked hopefolly about some update for their phone. Dissappointed from samsungs information behaviour.

...and where is the donate button?

Yours Alvar ;-)

OK, so about 15 hours since I booted into Android 2.0, and I can make the following observations from this current build:

Plus points:

-Text input feels lots faster

-Lock screen is better, and I prefer using the end call button to lock

-Marketplace works nicely, looks better and there's more choice

-Settings looks better, all menus look better in fact

-Phone app is nicer, like the swipe to answer and the new background whilst in a call

-Music widget looks better

-The Google News and Weather widget installs and works with it

-Maps is now awesome, annoyingly we can't get navigation for it in the UK though

-Icons look more polished

Negative points:

-Everything described by other people

-Music and Listen don't seem to work through headphones

-Every button on the front of the phone wakes the phone, would be better if it was just the power/call end button that wakes it

-External SD Card doesn't seem to work

All in all, this is awesome work, I wasn't expecting an upgrade path at all, so to even have this is great! Can't wait to see further development to it and I'd be more than willing to do some testing if needed.
