Any difference between Wavesecure in MoDaCo pack and one from Market?

Hi,

I want to use Wavesecure for my HTC Hero on MoDaCo 3.0 but I am unsure as to whether there are any differences between the Market Wavesecure app and the one downloadable from the ROM page.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The one in the Rom is much harder to uninstall - it's installed onto one of the internal flashes.

Basically, as blackcoffee85 said, it is harder to uninstall since it ends up inside the system part of the device. That way, a hard wipe will not remove the application.

If you see this thread, a new update.zip file gives you exactly the same version of the application as you get on the market, but in the form of Paul's 'internal install'.

Alternatively, WaveSecure will soon be releasing update.zip files themselves, so you could use that when it comes.
