omniathlon - the ultimative omnia experience

Hi,

there are a lot of very good chiefs and even a lot of good rom's for our omnias. The question is, who/which is the best.

I think, everyone has an (little bit) other answer to this question, because everyone has a different way to use his phone. So, i think, the best way to find out, what is the best os for an omnia, is it to make a challenge: the OMNIATHLON.

Aim: to absolve 10 tasks in best time!

Here are the tasks (my proposal - i tried to find tasks so that everyone can participate) in this order:

#1 play a 10 seconds song (the file will be attached)

#2 copy a 3MB file from main storage to internal storage (take the video, please!)

#3 calculate 123^123

#4 write an sms with following content: "i want to win the omniathlon 2010" - than save it to drafts

#5 go to "www.oaie.eu" - let the site load completely

#6 make a new entry into your calender: "31.01.2010, 11:59", text: "end of omniathlon 2010"

#7 call the white house, let it ring once: +1 - 202-456-1111

#8 play a 10 seconds video (the file will be attached)

#9 make a photo of yourself

#10 shut off your omnia

When the screen is black, stop the time!!

What do you think about??

Please keep the order, don't cheat, don't use scripts, use only an omnia i900: no other rules!!!

The best may win!!!

How the heck much is calling the White House going to cost from England?! :) Can we not have some sort of regional alternative? I'm happy to give Gordy a bell! B)

well, we can change this issue as follow: everyone has to call the leader of his own country, so you can choose between Gordi and your first lady: the Queen!

How about we make #1 turn on the phone

Well, this want to be a test of the productivity of your phone, and mostly is your phone already on!

The #10 Shut off the phone - is because the most of us will have the applications running in the backgroud to speed up the system, if any systems aren't stable enough, the shut down process will take more time!

I thought, you were so keen to know, what rom is best choice. but, obviously more than three clicks seem to be hard work, not so flashing one rom per day. Very curious!

I only called the White House. Obama was happy to hear from me again and told me to visit him some day again, but I declined. I told him that HE must run USA himself. He's the President after all. B)

This isn't really a test of the ROM, but mostly it's a test of the user's reflexes and skills, from which you can't tell if the ROM is good or not.

How long will it take to play a 10 second song? I don't know. Maybe 10 seconds? :)

Step 7 is useless and it's spam.

Step 9 - "make a photo of yourself" and post it here so we can all laugh. ;)

Step 11 - Put your Omnia under a car and run it down. If it survives, stop the clock. If it doesn't... ;)

calc: You're right, of course, the problem is, the same rom is for one of us the ultimative and very perfect one, for other one a buggy, functionless and useless rom. Question is, how useful is a "perfect" rom, with a 10+ design, if it takes over 30 secs. to open and start playing a song (this was the point - not to play a 10 sec songs, but to open it and how long take it till playing). 

How long will it take to play a 10 second song? I don't know. Maybe 10 seconds? :)

Step 7 is useless and it's spam.

calc: This step was more a joke, of course you can save a number and than call it, it can be the number of your girlfriend or even of the white house. Question is, how flexible is the rom, how quick can save the calender entry and then entry a call!

calc: Initially i wanted a photo of the neighbor's dog, but does everyone have a neighbor, and if yes, has it got a dog? ;-)

Step 11 - Put your Omnia under a car and run it down. If it survives, stop the clock. If it doesn't... ;)

calc: Step 11 - was initially: participate to the "Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships"! I think, the champion is an omnia user!
