Backup APK settings and files before wipe

Hey Guys,

I'm pleased with the MDC rom what i have, but i want to try the Vanilla one too. I'm playing with games and have settings of apps, and my question would be that if i wipe the phone (firmware(?) change) how can i get my settings and data files back? I know how can i save the APK's, but i dont know where are the settings and other stuff for these apps stored. I dont think a nandroid BU would be a solution, that only applies for one rom - right?

As long as you have root, Titanium Backup should do this. Available for free in the market.
