B) :) well hi there to all old and new, I would just like to take a moment in commenting on the way you guys come across as being really really helpful when others need it. well done. my name is hyagixer and I own a harley davidson my real pride and joy other than the wife of coarse. :o ;) when it comes to gadgets my friends call me the person with all the toys but no idea, which brings me to my predicament I find myself in and I was hoping someone might be able to help B) I have this week just purchased a contract samsung omnia hd i8910 phone on a orange contract but was needing to use my exsisting 02 sim card due to extra contract package facilities. after reading various reviews I am confused to say the least. firstly I have yet to install the orange sim card as all I have done is open the box and set the date and time on the phone. I have been told that I can send it away up country for it to be unlocked to any network and then I can keep my number but I would then have to download all the settings for the phone as this would be wiped? this scares the crap out of me as I am not that good with sorting the software and then dealing with installing it. sorry this is long winded guys but if I give all info then it should me with my problem. the reason I need to keep my 02 sim card is I still have 10mnths contract remaining from my iphone deal but I had free internet/unlimited texts/mminutes but trashed my phone and had no insurance so ended up having to get new phone and this was recommended to me and I must admit I did like the reviews given for it. so first thing do I send it to be unlocked or can I do it myself with your guidence without having to re-install all the settings for it? any advice and help would really be great so please please please help a total thicky and newbe guys and dolls ;) :o

Welcome to the site :)

Unfortunately this site is dedicated for phones running the Windows Mobile OS, the phone you have is using the Symbian OS instead.

It may be worth having a look at http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/ for more information.
