O2 pay as you go balance alerts

I'm used to having O2 text me my balance each time I use some of it, which can be quite handy most of the time. However, with the pulse I just get a blank pop-up box each time, with no information in it. Does anyone else get this and has anyone found a solution?

I have exactly the same problem. Is there anyway to get rid of the blank pop up windows?

I get this as well hard to get rid of as the buttons so small.

Not sure this helps, but o2 Customer Services can disable the SMS alerts if you call them.

Have you tried using an alternative SMS app? (I think the balances are pushed as network messages to the phone?)

i tried ringing o2 up about a week ago to disable balance alerts but they said they no longer disable them.

I get these using ChompSMS and the default app (on U8230 rom), although when making calls the balance message comes through as normal.
