Trying to restore contacts after MCR update

I've got the MCR 1.2 installed, and I'm trying to restore my contacts , as per Paul's post elsewhere.

C:\Users\davidd\Desktop\flash data.img>fastboot-windows.exe flash userdata data.

img

sending 'userdata' (97003 KB)... FAILED (remote: data too large)[/codebox]

data.img is from the nandroid backup I did previous to the MCR update.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

Couple of updates needed to the MCR 1.2 instructions, all found elsewhere in the thread eventually:

1. Do a wipe before installing

2. Copy the zip to the root of the SD card (I copied it to dload folder)

2. Do a wipe after installing (fixes the acore error when switching home screens)

data.img is from the nandroid backup I did previous to the MCR update.

Nandroid backups need to be restored through recovery menu not fastboot.

Also your contacts should just sync back to your phone no need to restore an .img , check contacts are set to auto sync or do a manual sync.

Understood - I was following Paul's method described in a different thread. Thanks for your help.
