Guest Burns Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Hi, I have just bought a Pulse, great phone and i'm slowly learning how to use android. However I can't work out how to switch between running applications without returning to the home screen, is there an easier method. Thanks
Guest triplezoney Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Hold down the power button, then choose Task List. You can choose which app from there. There might be apps that do similar.

Guest Motoko Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Hold down the power button, then choose Task List. I've had my Pulse since middle of Dec and I only just discovered the above task list by accident this morning as I was powering it off. I don't usually read the list that comes up and automatically reach for "Power off" but today I pressed the task list instead and wondered why it wasn't powering down :)
Guest sjoerdos92 Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 or hold the home button, then you'll see the apps you used recently
Guest Sengadog Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 or hold the home button, then you'll see the apps you used recently That doesn't work on my pulse
Guest m4dm3n Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 That doesn't work on my pulse Probably that's why : sjoerdos92 Device(s): HTC Hero
Guest HunteronX Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 or hold the home button, then you'll see the apps you used recently That doesn't work on my pulse It's because 'sjoerdos92' is using a HTC hero.

Guest Casper-vH Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Damn.. Have my pulse for weeks and just found it out. Did open my task list a couple of times.. But never figurrd out I should just press an icon.. So is there also a way of shutting down apps, instead of keeping them all open (without using apps like taskkiller)? (If I missed the option of switching, maybe I missed that too xD)
Guest triplezoney Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 (without using apps like taskkiller)? (If I missed the option of switching, maybe I missed that too xD) I use Taskiller, one click ends all tasks I've not set to ignore. Nice & easy! :)
Guest bograma Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Or just go to the Market and get Advanced Task Manager Free, which I use for switching the apps, not for the task killer, you don"t need that, Linux does a great job in managing the RAM.
