Guest samoz83 Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Just order my Liquid :) and was wondering if it had a digital compass like the nexus and iphone have? Also in the 2.0 Android update actually confirmed or more of a rumour?
Guest tobysimon Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Search the ‘compass’ in the market, download and install
Guest Lorents Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) No need to shout :) He hasnt got his A1 yet and was just wondering if it had a compass in the hardware. From what I understand 2.0 is confirmed, but it takes a while... I cant see that Acer have any choice - the specs for the A1 is very similar to the Nexus so they need to get 2.x out to make A1 more attractive compared to it. Edited January 10, 2010 by Lorents
Guest Uxian Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 From the testing I've done using the Compass and Metal Detector apps from the Market, the Acer's built-in compass is extremely stable and accurate compared with the rather flakey one in some of the HTC phones.

You are absolutely right. My previous android handset was an Htc magic and tbh the compass wasnt that solid as liquid's.
