Sound problem Liquid

Hi just got my Acer Liquid and rooted it + added modaco custom rom.

Works great!

But now too something i find very annoying with the Liquid

The speaker have some kind of Fade effect running, when you have not used the speaker for a couple of seconds it takes 1-2 second for it to play the next sound in full volume.

You can test this if you're at the homescreen and press on your volume buttons, wait a while and press again and you will see it plays the first sound lower then the other ones.

Same in games and ringtones etc.

Seems like the speaker is going to some kind of sleep mode and takes some extra time untill it pumps out the full volume.

Is there a way to remove this by standard or is it the speaker that is built like this or possible to change in custom rom?

If it needs a custom rom i hope somebody can add an option for this.

Never mind, i got an answer from benaham about this problem.

Seems like something that can be fixed after the kernel source been released.

Sounds like the kernel source is the Holy Grail

So many things can be done with the kernel source

Optimised roms, Tethering, this sound problem (yes I have it too)

I guess new icons?

And potential for a fully working Android 2.1 on the Acer Liquid

In terms of a functioning rom there isnt much with kernel source that helps, but for optimization the kernel source is good to have.
