Guest MBK6 Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Hi I want to get an in-ear headset with microphone and a 3,5 mm jack, which is going to be used with the Liquid. There are a headset with the Liquid, they are not in-ear, and I do not like how they sit in my ear, I do however like that there is a microphone. If you have any suggestions, on what headset I should get, please reply.
Guest disc Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I should know this too, because i like in-ear sets more than the other.
Guest Uberadri Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 If you buy a microphone with a jack plug, like this one navygino mentioned in another thread, you can use any headphones you want.

Seems like a good idea. Bought it and some in-ear headphones from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/3-5mm-Earphone-Adapter...=item4a969b3c76 http://cgi.ebay.com/Black-In-Ear-Headphone...=item27ae1c1fef About 2 buks each, including international shipping. I don't expect a super product, but then I have something to upgrade from. Thanks
Guest chunga Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 i tried my 4 pin old iphones ones and it worked , the call/end button worked, but I didn't test the microphone.
Guest dawabz94 Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 tested the acer liquid with iphone std headset, works fine with meridian music player, answer/hang and play/pause and mic work fine :) http://twitter.com/DaWaBZ94/status/7793622431 (Sent via Seesmic http://www.seesmic.com)
Guest Uberadri Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Ordered this one from Dealextreme now. The other one I ordered was out of stock. Hope it works (confirmed to work with iPhone, so it probably will).
Guest MBK6 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Okay, so the cheap Microphone broke apart and the cheap in-ear headsets sounds like it is playing through 10 cm of foam or something. The sound is very unclear and dull. Im ready to upgrade!! I would really like the option to adjust the volume of the music and sound while speaking, and its annoying to get the phone up from the pocket. I have been looking at this: http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/image-s4i-overview/ It seems to have what I want, but will it work with the Liquid? The Klipsch Image S4 has gotten great reviews, but I really want the microphone and volume control also, do you think this will work?? Sincerely MBK6
Guest MBK6 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 (edited) Doesn't seem to work with the Droid: http://groups.google.com/group/android-dis...55bf6b98a1e0184 ;) Microphone seems to work on Nexus One, but not volume http://discuss.gdgt.com/htc/google/nexus-o...line-remotes-1/ :D Edited February 3, 2010 by MBK6
Guest MBK6 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Are there anybody that can test something like this on the Liquid? http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB770G/A I think, if this work, the S4i probadly will too.

There are 2 versions, one version with black rings on the pin, look like what you found on ebay and cost more or less the same. I bought another version, actually the same thing but with white rings on the pin which claimed to have better quality, cost around US$6. Those are for iphone and it is working at least for stereo and mic, but not sure for the volume control.
Guest navygino Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 (edited) A little off topic but just to share what I found for my Liquid, it is leather, cost me around US$6. Edited February 3, 2010 by navygino
Guest MBK6 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I endend up buying these: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB770G/A Used from ebay, costed me 30 USD with shipping. They sound great. The button for receiving and ending a call works, it also stops/starts the music, but the volume buttons do nothing. The microphone works fine also. Perhaps it will be possible to get these volume buttoms to work?
Guest Quipeace Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I'm using the Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800, they're bluetooth and they are amazing, sound quality is great and it's very easy to pair. AND you don't have those annoying wires running down your shirt.

AND you don't have those annoying wires running down your shirt. I do have a bluetooth headset also. Yes, you don't have the annoying wire, but the price is that you need to renember to charge your wireless headset! This is far more annoying to me, than the wire to the headset. Then the only problem is to renember to charge the phone, which by it self is annoying. But it does however remind me that it needs to be charged, the headset just stops working, when you actually need it. It is pretty rainy when Im on my bicycle, and I think the bluetooth headset would die pretty fast, if I used it the same way. Also, the bluetooth headset is bigger, and I cant use it with my helmet.
