Guest 4N1L Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I'm having difficulties installing the HTC.IME.apk to my pulse. It allows me to install but i get a force close every time i attempt to use it. Do i need to have my Pulse rooted to use it?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I don't think you need a rooted Pulse for the HTC IME keyboard. Just try to go into Applications->Manage Applications->Touch Input (i don't know if thats the name of the app, just search the HTC IME app) and then tap delete data Greetings, BigBearMDC
Guest 4N1L Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I have managed to remove it via Applications...was just wandering if anyone had it working on their Pulse
Guest bounty123 Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I have managed to remove it via Applications...was just wandering if anyone had it working on their Pulse I'm using it all the time, for me it's the best keyboard app out there.
Guest BigBearMDC Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I have it installed on my Pulse too and it works just fine. Even with the german layout (ö,ä,ü,ß...) Greetings, BigBearMDC

Guest Sengadog Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Ive installed it but when i do a long hold on a text input then go to input method, i only get touchpal and android? Go into settings, the locale and Text and select the Touch input. Then exit. Next time you try it you should get all three options.
Guest chrisnic0 Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 ^ Thanks for your quick help :)

Guest 205er Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 I had the same problem. And this worked for me: I played a bit with the settings of the phone and did something like this: Change your device-language to English and back to your language, do a soft reset - that's it! Hope it will be a solution for you
Guest David Horvath Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 I had the same problem. Guest BigBearMDC Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 When you boot your phone the first time, you can choose your language. Then just install the keyboard - it should be in english (qwerty layout). Just reboot your phone and the layout should be in your language. There should be no need to change the phone's language :) Greetings, BigBearMDC
