Guest Bakes Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Please forgive me for my crummy typing, I'm on my phone at the moment. I'ce been exploring the.vanilla Rom from this forum and have encountered some issues. I go to a school where it olis seen as funny to mess about with other peoples phones to make them harder to use. Me, with my rooted pulse would probably be a good target, especially with the host of potentially malicious apps included with the Rom. Is there any easy way to remove apps embedded on the Rom?

Not sure what you mean by "malicious"! Wouldn't the easiest solution be to either: 1. Enable the screen lock pattern, or even better... 2. Don't let your schoolmates get hold of your phone :)
Guest Bakes Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 (edited) Not sure what you mean by "malicious"! Wouldn't the easiest solution be to either: By malicious, I can imagine someone rebooting my phone into recovery mode, or pissing around with superuser permissions. I'd much rather have piece of mind, that's why I've installed wavesecure. 1. Enable the screen lock pattern, or even better... 2. Don't let your schoolmates get hold of your phone :) I already have the screen lock pattern enabled, but I don't think that would be enough. For the moment, they're limited to browsing through each others' history (on their iPhones and iTouches), which I can tell you yields some interesting responses, but the command 'quick reboot' would certainly seem interesting. Reset to factory settings too. Alternatively, is there a way to hide certain apps? I'm thinking of MSN here too. I agree that the best way is not to let others get a hold of my phone, but that may not be possible B) So, is there any way of removing apps from my phone? Edited January 11, 2010 by Bakes
