PLEASE HELP - CANNOT INSTALL CABS

suddenly - i cannot install cab files.

while i double click on them - nothing happens - the cab file does not install.

in addition, the icon of all cab files changed - it now looks like windows icon (and not the regular cab icon).

WM 6.1.

please help...

I think you changed a registry key of what program to open the cabs with. Try some cab-installing software from the internet :)

do you know how to handle the registry on your device?

check these reg keys:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.cab]

Default schould be set to : "cabfile"

then:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\cabfile]

"EditFlags"=dword:00010000 (= decimal 65536)

Default schould be set to : "cab"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\cabfile\Shell\Open\Command]

Default schould be set to : "wceload.exe \"%1\" /nodelete"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\cabfile\DefaultIcon]

Default schould be set to : "shellresapps.dll,-15618"
