Simple message display on desktop

I like to display my mobile number on the desktop of the phone so that it is always there to remind me what it is.

I could create a graphic and display this but wondered if there was an easier way / app available?

There are probably 1001 ways to do this, but i use ColorNote (Free) to show my number on my home screen.

I agree with the idea of many options, but this looks a bit naff, the size/font is not customizable and the choice of colours is limited.

Would like something that covers the top of the screen with the number, preferably transparent with choice of text/font/size/colour.

I know I am not asking for much ;-)

I think that will probably end up being the best idea but I would have thought there would be a simple widget for this?

Now I have to find the wallpaper.....
