problem restoring my contacts after flash using Sprite Backup

so i recently started using Sprite Backup instead of SPB Backup.

I just back up my PIM data.

whenever i restore the backup file after i flash it seems to restore fine.

all my contacts are there and everything seems normal.

however, in my call logs and text messages and caller IDs whenever i get a new call or message it just shows up as the number... with no corresponding name.

i can even send out a text from the contact list, name included, but when i get a reply it's still shows just the number that it's from.

it's driving me crazy.

any advice or suggestions?
