Guest hp1 Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 I thought all was going well but its been cycling through the Hero and HTC animations for well over an hour now. I'm getting worried! I dont want to pull the battery but i'm worried it will run out at this rate. I have the power lead in but i dont think its getting any juice as the LED is not on. Its pretty late now. I guess I'll leave it overnight and see what state its in in the morning. Will I still be able t get to the recovery image even if the new ROM flash fails?

Guest hp1 Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Thanks Kendon. Your guess would be correct. Gonna wipe and try again.......
Guest v_iliev Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 How did you do the "reboot" - just power off and then on, or using the recovery ?

As Kendon said it was ok to pull the battery if it was in the boot cycle, thats what i did. I then went back into my revovery image and did a wipe (which is what i should have done in the first place) and then reloaded the update.zip. This time it took 5 mins and worked perfectly. Next step for me is to get an unlock code so I can use my new O2 sim.
