To make ROM platform/kernel source is needed and not the SDK. the SDK is just for app writers.

With this SDK one can make live wallpapers and apps.

You can use the SDK to make live wallpapers, but you will need a 2.1 ROM to use them on a device.

Actually if u download the SDK platform, u get the 2.1 emulator .imgs, unyaffs thoose and make a update.zip out of it, and voilá, u have a 2.1 ROM :)

Just did for my hero, but very laggy on the 524mhz cpu of hero
