Well, I hit a roadblock. Is there a way to create an .exe file that will take a .lnk to a folder in the startmenu (Games, Office, Settings)?

If I understand your question correctly, you would like to have a link from an .exe file to whatever location you like, right?

I use Total Commander for this purpose. It is a freeware. Works well. Install it and try to play with it. It works on wm 6.5 too.

If you can't figure it out pm me, I'll guide you through.

Thanks. I tried to create a shortcut but my phone says it can't be opened. (More specifically, I'm trying to create a file that opens a folder within the start menu. An icon I click that will take me to my games folder, settings, etc.)

it should work just creating a shortcut in the start menu or games folder. otherwise you can copy the whole .exe file into that directory if memory usage is not a real issue?

What I'm doing (correct me if I'm wrong) is: highlight file > file > ">>>>>" > "Create Shortcut" > "OK"

Then, when I try to run the shortcut it says "The file 'x' cannot be opened...not signed w/ trusted certificate blah blah blah...reinstall/restore"

sorry for the late reply. All you need to do is go to the .EXE file and click "copy". then go to the desired location in file explorer (ie. windows>>start menu>>programs>>games (or just leave it in programs). then click and hold anywhere in this folder and then select "paste shortcut".

i just tried it again, and it works

Thanks, but that's not what I'm trying to accomplish. I need a file that when executed will bring you to a folder within the startmenu.

I know what you're saying. I've been trying to figure this very thing out all morning. Let me know if you figured it out?
