Wifi tethering WPA

I have a question in regards to Wifi tethering.

I know security with WEP is very lax, it can be cracked in seconds these days with some simple tools downloaded off the net.

Is there a way to get tethering to do WPA?

I think at the moment the answer is no.

The benefit of using WEP over no security is that people can't just connect to you if you're in a public area.

You might also find access control useful. By whitelisting your MAC address, others won't be able to connect.

with anetshare every single connection has to be confirmed, so i'd even know if someone tries to connect to my phone :)
