Guest grifforama Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Also posted this on xda. So I opened a ticket with HTC. The weather widget is showing weather data when I am based in Manhattan at my office, but when I go home, I get no data at all. Surely this is a problem with where the widget is pulling it's data ? It cannot be the location manager, as it is correctly determining that I am in New York when I'm in Manhattan and Brooklyn when I'm in Brooklyn. Anyone else STILL have this problem ?

It has hardly ever worked for me - took it off in the end. If you find a solution, let me know :)
Guest coroona Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 I found the widget worked when using WIFI however it failed when using mobile data (3G).
Guest Dan Mullen Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 I found the widget worked when using WIFI however it failed when using mobile data (3G). I've tried it on both WiFi and 3G - no luck. It finds my city fine (Sunderland), but says "No data". However, when I add Sunderland manually, it works fine.
Guest keef319 Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Generally I don't have too many probs, though I'd like it to update a little more often. Can't seem to find a setting to change that. One problem I do have. When I'm near Alexandra Palace in north London, the weather and local time switch to Beijing!!! WFT?! LOL!!

Guest IakobosJ Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) This bug is annoying and has always been apparent. When I'm at home it picks up my location and pretty much always shows me weather data, with WiFi and 3G/HSDPA. I go to work and sure enough there is never any weather data available. The town that I am in is Darlington, Darlington is actually in the list of places that I can add to the weather app. If I manually add Darlington to the list, it always gets weather data, it shows me up-to-date weather through 3G/HSDPA as well WiFi. It just doesn't work when it gets my location automatically :/ Edited February 7, 2010 by IakobosJ
