HTC Weather widget issues.

So I opened a ticket with HTC.

The weather widget is showing weather data when I am based in Manhattan at my office, but when I go home, I get no data at all.

Surely this is a problem with where the widget is pulling it's data ? It cannot be the location manager, as it is correctly determining that I am in New York when I'm in Manhattan and Brooklyn when I'm in Brooklyn.

Anyone else STILL have this problem ?

It has hardly ever worked for me - took it off in the end. If you find a solution, let me know :)

I've tried it on both WiFi and 3G - no luck. It finds my city fine (Sunderland), but says "No data". However, when I add Sunderland manually, it works fine.

Generally I don't have too many probs, though I'd like it to update a little more often. Can't seem to find a setting to change that.

One problem I do have. When I'm near Alexandra Palace in north London, the weather and local time switch to Beijing!!! WFT?! LOL!!

I've got exactly the same problem here (MCR3.1)

Someone has found a solution ?

This bug is annoying and has always been apparent.

When I'm at home it picks up my location and pretty much always shows me weather data, with WiFi and 3G/HSDPA.

I go to work and sure enough there is never any weather data available. The town that I am in is Darlington, Darlington is actually in the list of places that I can add to the weather app.

If I manually add Darlington to the list, it always gets weather data, it shows me up-to-date weather through 3G/HSDPA as well WiFi. It just doesn't work when it gets my location automatically :/
