Guest Paul Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Is there interest in me doing an online kitchen for the pulse like the Hero one here? It requires Ad-Free/Pulse membership to use due to server load / costs... P

Guest Paul Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 It would be the current 1.7 ROMs, but you could pick the bits you want in and out... P

P That a big hell yes from me I love the Hero one I used it the other day for my friend who is now buying his own MoDaCo membership! :) Thank again Paul for all the work you are doing for Pulse development!
Guest robot1000 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Any change of hacking the Goggles app to use with the pulse?
Guest david_dawkins Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) Is there interest in me doing an online kitchen for the pulse like the Hero one here? ... P Hell. Yes. Edit: Please. :) Edited January 12, 2010 by david_dawkins
Guest klutsh Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Until I can afford my Nexus One, it's a yes from me :)

Just got my Pulse today and can't wait to start fiddling with it!
Guest Shuflie Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Sounds like it might be useful, maybe with an option to upload our own .apks for including on the data partition to have them ready from the off. How about a reset button too incase someone changes their mind, or is there a flood control on the Hero kitchen? Was looking at it and ticking boxes then closed the window, now when I try to look at it again its telling me that the ROM has already been baked :)
Guest Paul Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Telling you it's already been baked? How? P
Guest Shuflie Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Telling you it's already been baked? How? P No idea, its back to the normal thread view again. What I was getting was the text of your first post then a white box with a message telling me the ROM had already been baked, I can't remember the exact text, but I could only access your post not the rest of the thread Maybe it was because I had clicked through to the post from the link in your first post this thread while replying (was just checking to see if there was an option to add .apks in the Hero kitchen or not before asking for that as a feature). I'm using Firefox 3.5.7 on a Mackbook if that makes any difference.
Guest Paul Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Huh, that's weird... No, no option to add your own APKs yet... P
Guest giryan Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I'd certainly like to have the Kitchen, it'd be nice to be able to leave off the stock bits I'll never use :)
Guest Neron Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I'd certainly like to have the Kitchen, it'd be nice to be able to leave off the stock bits I'll never use :) Yeah to remove roadsync would be great!
Guest rob_turner_uk Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) Would love a kitchen for the pulse. I have already used it for my hero. BTW loving all the updates at the moment every time I come on to modaco there is something new. I would keep it for ad free and premium users only. £9.99 is a very small price to pay. I hope you getting lots of new members. Its also much better idea than what some devs do. Sometimes they want money (they call it donate) for devices that they haven't got in promise that they will do something with it. BTW I had a look at getting premium account but it tends to benefit windows mobile more, anything to tempt us android users coming up??? Also Paul I was wondering how much time do you spend working on android compared to winmob?? Edited January 12, 2010 by rob_turner_uk
Guest Paul Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Total Plus overhaul including Android coming up! ATM, i'm quite into Android, but it varies depending on what's interesting me at the time... :) P
Guest IG82 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Would definitely be interested in this. Only just got a Pulse and planning on signing up as a paid member but was thinking the same regarding the premium account and WinMo, once it does more for android will definitely join!
Guest Nikki Locke Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I'd be interested too. But I'd be even more interested in instructions for doing it myself - there is quite a bit of stuff in the standard ROM I'm not interested in (all the RoadSync stuff for a start), and some stuff I would like to modify (e.g. make the default language English, the default region UK, fix the bugs in init.rc, set up a default hostname, etc.).
Guest flip360 Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Thats a big Yes from me, eve though i dont have the ways to pay online for membership :)
Guest rob_turner_uk Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Anyone else want this. I for one don't wanna see this slip through our fingers
Guest Neron Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Anyone else want this. I for one don't wanna see this slip through our fingers Guys pleaes reply if you want to be able to cook your own Pulse ROMs! It would be great to ensure people like Paul continue to support the Pulse!
Guest Rem1x Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 I want this! (i'd even shell out to get it)
Guest Paul Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Either NexusOne or Pulse coming to the online kitchen next, both will happen, just not sure in which order yet! :) That said, probably more Plus / Ad-Free members in the Pulse area...? Probably means it should be Pulse first... P
