Guest Paul Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Here's a test Chinese patch zip for MCR 3.1 / 3.2. Apply over the top of your existing build (after backing up of course). http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.p...yjv5cgrhm87akb1 Enjoy! P
Guest kazuni Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Good news for chinese users. Although I don't really need this myself, I pretty much am using LIME instead of handwriting :)
Guest HowardH Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Will this work for the CDMA Hero? Also, is this Traditional or Simplified Chinese, and what input methods does it have? I have been looking for a way to input Traditional Chinese, but have not found one yet. Thanks!
Guest citydog Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I've installed update over MCR3.1 but when I click on "Touch Input Chinese" I get the following FC outputs in logcat: I/ActivityManager( 137): Starting activity: Intent { action=android.intent.action.MAIN comp={com.htc.android.cime/com.htc.android.cime.HTCIMESettings} } I/ActivityManager( 137): Start proc com.htc.android.cime for activity com.htc.android.cime/.HTCIMESettings: pid=644 uid=10069 gids={} D/dalvikvm( 114): GC freed 255 objects / 9672 bytes in 141ms I/WindowManager( 137): Screen status=true, current orientation=-1, SensorEnabled=false I/WindowManager( 137): needSensorRunningLp, mCurrentAppOrientation =-1 D/AK8973 ( 121): Compass Start D/Sensors ( 137): open_akm, fd=123 D/Sensors ( 137): sensors=00000001, real=00000001 D/Sensors ( 137): using /dev/input/event4 (name=compass) D/Sensors ( 137): data__data_open: fd = 124 I/WindowManager( 137): Enabling listeners D/dalvikvm( 114): GC freed 27 objects / 1184 bytes in 224ms D/dalvikvm( 114): GC freed 2 objects / 48 bytes in 137ms W/Resources( 644): Converting to string: TypedValue{t=0x10/d=0x2 a=-1} D/AndroidRuntime( 644): Shutting down VM W/dalvikvm( 644): threadid=3: thread exiting with uncaught exception (group=0x40013140) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): Uncaught handler: thread main exiting due to uncaught exception E/AndroidRuntime( 644): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.htc.android.cime/com.htc.android.cime.HTCIMESettings}: java.lang.NullPointerException E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2268) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.ActivityThread.handleLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2284) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.ActivityThread.access$1800(ActivityThread.java:112) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.ActivityThread$H.handleMessage(ActivityThread.java:1692) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:3948) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:782) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:540) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at com.htc.android.cime.util.ConfigData.loadCustomizeData(ConfigData.java:983) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at com.htc.android.cime.settings.KeyboardSettings.cusomizationLoader(KeyboardSettings.java:103) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at com.htc.android.cime.settings.KeyboardSettings.onCreate(KeyboardSettings.java:131) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.Instrumentation.callActivityOnCreate(Instrumentation.java:1132) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2231) E/AndroidRuntime( 644): ... 11 more I/Process ( 137): Sending signal. Guest maddiez Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 try to change the settings while in edit (e.g. SMS composing), by: 1. holding track ball/entering field and select touch input chinese, 2. hold the 中/En key (with a gear on top of it) and select the last option (which will enter the settings page) it's weird sometimes CIME behaves like this..
Guest ChinaRon Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 ... I pretty much am using LIME instead of handwriting :) Did a search for "LIME" but could not find an answer. Which IME is "LIME"?
Guest maddiez Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 Paul, could you pin this thread, or link it in the MCR thread..? It would be great also if it can be an option in the Custom MCR kitchen :)
