Question about Android port??

Hi, before I start Im sorry if anyones asked this before, and Im not asking for someone to do it... Im just wondering if anyone knows the precedure to how people port android to a certain device, Im just curious to know what is needed to get android working on a device, and if anyone knows if someones trying to get it on our TG01's?? Its just a question please dont flame me :)

At the minute it's not possible to port android as it's still not possible to install anything 'custom' to the ROM. Once the ROM is decrypted it should be possible as the TG01 definately has the hardware to run it. Other WinMo HTC devices have had Android ported on to them: http://pocketnow.com/software-1/googles-an...-windows-mobile

Haven't tried myself so please report back if you do.

Not sure you are right on this... I did used Android on my former pdaphone (HTC Diamond) without flashing ROM. The main concern should be hardware support.

As it is said in the link (PocketNow) you provide :

We're not talking about replacing the ROM here, we're talking about opening Linux as if it was a Windows Mobile Application and then loading Android within that.

Androkkid is good but it's only a graphical interface and you cannot run Android apps...

Ahh ok, Thanks for clearing this up for me, Hopefully if XDA-Developers adds a Toshiba TG01 channel then we could see this happening right?

I dont think its the hardware tbh, as there are a few Android Devices with the same proccessor as the TG01, but Im proberly wrong?
