[FIXED] A2DP does not route audio to headphones?

I've been using MCR 3.1 and I found it to be so fast! Many kudos to Paul, much faster than 3.0! One qualm I have about it is that my stereo bluetooth headset doesn't want to accept any stereo stream from DroidLive. The stock 1.5 rom has been able to do it no problems, but of course, DroidLive slows down the OS and renders the phone for the most part inoperable apart from just using it for music streaming. With MCR 3.1, the Hero can now multitask with DroidLive, but when I try and connect my bluetooth headset, it claims to be connected to phone audio yet, an error pops up shortly afterward saying that "There was a problem connecting to 9xxBackBeat" (my Altec Lansing Backbeat 903 A2DP headphones).

I've searched the Hero forums for any possible solutions, but all of them have been essentially left unanswered. Any word or reason why the error might be happening? I've went back to stock 1.5, and it happens to work just fine, albeit very unoptimized which has driven me to use MCR in hopes to get best of both worlds.

Hopefully someone could help resolve this?

I've found out that I had to somehow allow it to look for a pairing pin, so when the headset was discovered by the Hero, I turned off the headset out of discovery mode, turned it on normally, made the headset pair with a pin, and then turned off the phone, started it back up, and waited for it to connect. Now, it allows for both phone and media audio to be passed through.

Perhaps this information will be helpful among people having issues with A2DP, thus my reason for posting a reply back. Tagged the topic appropriately.

Hi PrinceDwi, Have the same problem. Followed your steps and pairing worked. Looking at the settings it says "connected with audio of phone and medium" (or something alike, mine is in Dutch, dunno the exact translation in English) which is indeed what it should be. Then music flows through the headset into my tiny ears, and music player controls on headset work just fine as well.

However, after turning off the headset and bluetooth on the hero, most of the time the headset has trouble pairing again. That is to say, pairing to make phone call works out fine, displaying in settings:" connected with audio of phone" but not the "audio of medium" part. Manually turning on the medium-option does not work either, getting the same-old “..problem connecting to 9xxBackBeat”-notification again.

Only thing that works is deleting the pair in the settings of the phone, rebooting the headphones into pairing mode, rebooting the phone, trying to re-pair using your routine and hoping that itll connect fully (both parts-audio of phone, audio of medium). Sometimes it asks for a pin, most of the time it doesn’t (which is very very strange)

Did you encounter the same or did the problem never occur again after having performed your routine once?

Thanks for your help, and sorry about the weird twitter mssg (yes that was me, regrettably)
