Guest Shuflie Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Here's a quick tip for you, sync your contacts with your Google account. No need to mess about with SIM card contact limitations like only one number per contact. Email addresses, home and work address, notes etc. can all be attached to your contacts and backed up online for easy retrieval when you change phones or service providers.

Just a word of warning though, if your account is one that you use for email and everything else google offers, and you haven't kept your contacts neat, I'd go in and delete them all before you do a sync. My set of contacts seemed to contain basically everyone I'd ever emailed since getting a gmail account(back when it started)... so it took me quite a while to sort out my contacts on my phone when I made this error.

Get rid of the T-mobile ROM and you can select to sync only your contacts group, not the million that google add. :)
Guest infernal.king Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 if u want to save your contacts to your sim all you need to do is download this free app from the market called "contact2sim".
Guest twe Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 if u want to save your contacts to your sim all you need to do is download this free app from the market called "contact2sim". This program does not work for me with the original t-mobile ROM [pre December update] or with the T-Mobile v1.2 modaco rom.... The program runs, and says it has copied the contacts onto the simcard - however after reloading the program it says those contacts copied over are not on the sim again - also sticking the simcard in another phone proves that it did not copy them over. Obviously this has been for me, would be good to know if anyone else has had the same problem.

This was when I was trying to move from the t-mobile rom to a custom rom and wanted to make sure I didn't lose my contacts.

Guest Shuflie Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 From a classic Siemens C65 :) I think you're going to have a struggle with that :) Best I can think of is to find someone with WM phone or iPhone that they aren't using and don't mind lending to you to copy the contacts off your SIM card and sync up to your google account.
