Hi, just purchased a TG01 - love the thing... but have one slight problem.

I use uBook and Textmaker as eReaders.

Anyone know of a way to assign the Voume Buttons to Page Up/Down? The 'Touch Sensor' strip is highly unresponsive - in fact, so unresponsive that it seems to do feck all!

Not sure if the program in the link would work for assigning page up/down, worth a try though as the basic functions are freeware:

The 'zoom bar' I agree is pretty useless, I think it only works in MS Office and IE.

The best one (for me): AE Button Plus

I'm using volume up for: Page up And Volume down for Record

I'm also using the useless zoom bar to change apps (Like ALT+TAB)

Cordially

Tried Vito Buttonmapper - but no joy. I've also purchased a copy of AE Button Plus, but just can't seem to get it to work with Textmaker or uBook - works fine with iSilo though. Dunno why...

please xdalover, how do you do it? it's this with AE Button too? I cant see any reference to the zoom bar in this application. And do you know why there are listed things like 'OK key' or 'Right/Left/Up/Down' keys?

Your help would be very appreciated.

:) Interesting, Isn't it? Well , some instructions:Open AEBPlus (I have v2.6)

Tap Left softkey: File

Add button

Add Key (Touch the zoom bar: The program detects Key code 405C as Win Key)

Tap Add Key

You'll have a new button called Button #405C

Tap & Hold over the new line (Button #405C) and assign Alt+Tab to it

The program ask to self reset, say Yes and .... here you are!

Enjoy!

Regarding 'OK key' or 'Right/Left/Up/Down' keys, these hardware keys are not present in our device, and you can't assign anything to them....

Thanks a lot xdalover!

I did not realized all the functionality of the program.

About the zoom bar:

- long press doesn't work

- if you use single tap you loose the two keys on left and right of the bar. AEButton sees that zone of the screen as a single input

- soft keys remapping doesn't work (that even resorted Sleeping Beauty!!! aaaargh!!!)

anyway I can at least make zoom bar do something usefull.

thanks again

There is a program called VolDPad. Works for me. I try to avoid having it autostart though as it annoyed me, but I can't remember why.

There is a registry key that can be changed to allow you to assign the camera button to any application without having to install third party software. (Obviously, you will need a registry editor. I use Resco Explorer but there are free ones somewhere.)

HKLM/ControlPanel/Buttons/NoHardwareButtons

Change the value to 0

Hope that helps.
