G'day all,

I've been using Igo8 ever since I got my omnia, and I absolutely love it. But newer is better, so i attempted to upgrade. All went well, but it did not bring my contacts across. After much googling I deduced that i must have installed a PNA version, not PDA. That info about no contacts is well hidden!

Anyway, i went to go with a PDA version, but after installing it says that there is an updated version on my card, and would i like to update? This is an endless loop. If I say no, the installer closes, but no program.

In frustration, i hard resetted the phone, but still happened. So this time i hard reset the storage, and the main phone. I thought this would have cleared everything, but no.

So I also installed a registry tool, and searched for IGO, and deleted found items. Still not enough.

I can't even go back to the original 8.0.0 or whatever it was, because it gets stuck in that update loop.

Can someone please help me, because I'm going freaking nuts!

Thanks for any and all help

Tony

I would contact iGO about the issue, if you have done a hard reset then the issue is not with the phone but the software you are trying to install.

I use IGO 8 on my iPaq 214, so might be slightly different to Samsung.

In the programs listing there is an icon to delete Nav N Go igo 8, clicking on that deletes everything.

Failing that, if you have File Explorer or similar, have a look in Programme Files delete the iGo8 folder

Delete any other folder with iGo8 etc.

Re boot If you have IGO 8 on removable media it should install automatically when card inserted.

As you state make sure you have the PDA VERSION
