Guest channi3 Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Hey, Just updated for the 1.7 custom ROM and I must say its alot faster than the previous releases I've tried. But a problem that I've always had is when receiving incoming calls, the phone takes too long for the caller ID screen to appear. The ringtone only starts after the caller ID screen appears, and by the time that happens, the call is diverted to my answer machine. If I do notice the vibration when there's an incoming call, it still takes ages after pressing the "green" key to connect the call. Does anyone else have this kind of problem, is there an app to replace or improve this annoyance. Cheers
Guest giryan Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Yeah, although it always seemed to be slow, even before the 1.7 update. (That said I don't receive many calls at all so rarely experience it to remember well and compare :) )
Guest twe Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Yep same issue, but again had it even on the official ROMS...
Guest meinnit Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Have you checked with a task manager app how many programs you have running in the background? I find that if a few programs are running in the background, the phone slows down quite a bit

Guest channi3 Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Have you checked with a task manager app how many programs you have running in the background? I find that if a few programs are running in the background, the phone slows down quite a bit I've tried killing all the apps running in the background (removing widgets, etc) and still its the same. I think its a problem with how the phone wakes when theres an incoming call, the vibrate happens straight away but the screen remains on standby. Bit of an annoying problem to be honest, having to re-use my old nokia 3100 for important calls.
Guest toncek Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) have same problem....any updates? Edited January 29, 2010 by toncek
Guest Daz555 Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 This is my biggest gripe against the excellent custom ROM. Stock T-mobile was instant but my current install of v1.7 can sometimes be far too slow when answering a call.
