Guest twe Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Hi guys, was wondering if different size memory cards would make a difference when making a backup via Nandroid + the ext and using that on a 2nd T-Mobile Pulse phone? I tried this and was getting forced closures all over the place. I even tried the repair ext partition option. Both cards have the same size ext and both ext4. One phone has the original 2gb memory card and the other one has a sandisk 8gb card. I haven't tried using the original 2gb card in the 1st phone yet. Should I use something else for this instead of Nandroid? Thanks.
Guest BigBearMDC Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 (edited) Should I use something else for this instead of Nandroid? You could copy/paste the files of the ext partition using linux. Maybe Nandroid stores some information about the FS in the backup too. Greetings, BigBearMDC Edited January 14, 2010 by BigBearMDC
Guest twe Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Thanks for the reply, is there a Windows alternative? Never used Linux much or have it....
Guest BigBearMDC Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 (edited) ...is there a Windows alternative? There are ways to mount a linux partition under windows... but i guess its easier to download Damn Small Linux (only 50MB!) and run it from an usb stick.
