Guest hp1 Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) There are Gmail Widgets in the Market that will tell you how many unread mails you have but it seems they are logging on to your online gmail account, not reading what is on your phone. I know that in theory theyre the same but I want one that that just reads my local phone gmail inbox and tells me how many unread mails I have. None of the native widgets will do this. Guest deltoro Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Taken from swedroid.se: Gmail Unread Count is a free Android home widget which displays a Gmail icon overlayed with the number of unread mail currently in your inbox It does not utilize polling, instead it listens for changes in the local Gmail database, meaning it will update as soon as the phone knows the unread count has changed. The widget can be styled to look as a native icon (with customizable icon and label) or as a widget. When you tap it it will launch the Gmail app. There is an option to launch Gmail to only display your unread mail. Includes HTC Hero compability mode as the Hero homescreen differs a bit from stock homescreen. Multiple account support on Android 2.0+ is planned for next version. Maybe this is what you looking for?
