Looks like its only for touchscreen devices. No love for the Smartphones again. :)

Hmmm, well I've tried it on the HD2...it's not actually very good to be honest. Very slow to load pages, and not really finger-friendly anyway.

Personally I'll stick to Opera for now

Netfront Concept V3.5 was one of my favourite browsers prior to getting the HD2, mainly for its view configurability and speed.

I got the announcement email for V4 yesterday, and loaded it in anticipation .

What an absolute let-down. OK, they've added enhanced Java support, but still no Flash of any kind.

However the 3 things that made Netfront Concept 3.5 stand out for me have all been removed!

1) No 'visual' bookmarks now (not a biggie but it could be nice on a fast machine!)

2) No user defined 'View Settings' which could be associated with bookmarks. There are now only 4 fixed View Settings.

3) No user selectable User Agent Strings. V3.5 had up to 5 selectable UAS's so switching between different modes was quick and easy.

TBH I find it pretty good, faster than opera (including 10 beta 2) and renders most things very well.

I also find it easier to hit links than with opera which is odd, as it certainly doesnt look like it should.

Text box recognition is poor though, v-bulletin boards only work in simple mode, otherwise you can't reply to posts.

Somewhat ironically though the one website where it really falls down is googlewave, I guess it can't really cope with javascript that well.

I'd agree with the need for the separate view-settings per bookmark, and at least 2 UA strings, but always turned off the visual bookmarks as it just got in the way.

I guess we'll see more features as it progresses, it does look like they will actually bother developing this one, rather than just reissue the same version of 3.5 every time the beta ran out.
