Guest mo_sjo Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) Hi all :) So I have my Nexus One. I've been a user of windows mobile for many years so you can probably appreciate my frustation, which is: Decent Outlook sync'ing!! I have the following :- - One Nexus One phone - One regular google account, with calendar function - One google apps premier account - Two instances of Outlook (one xp+2003, one win7+2007) previously sync'd with a windows mobile phone as intermediary I've tried to install the google apps sync tool (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gappssync) to no joy (complains about incorrect http.sys being installed, even though it states it supports XP - the patch required is Vista only apparently). I also tried the 'soocial' web based tool. This looked great, until it told me Outlook support is very flakey and is strongly not recommended for use in an Exchange environment (which one of my Outlook instance is in). I quickly deleted my Soocial account. I don't mind sync'ing to a 3rd party, like google, and then back to the phone. Does anyone have a 100% solution for outlook <> nexus one contacts/calendar sync? Dont care about email sync. Thanks! nb: I do have a brand new HD2 sitting here which will be swallowing up the N1 if I don't resolve this soon :) Edited January 15, 2010 by mo_sjo

Guest mixmaven Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Contact sync is on the phone, and works fine for me. I use the post below CorCAL and widget. The widget works well to display calendar events. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...mp;postcount=65 -mix Which do you use? The URL you post contains various things. Guest TonyL Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Ive made a post on this already:24hrs of hell gSynchit works perfectly for me - it installs as a task bar/outlook plug in.. as soon as I start Outlook it syncs via Google - latest version does tasks as well. Not had any problems at all. I had to pay a few ££ but it was worth it, now I don't even bother connecting my phone to the PC as I would have done to ActiveSynch or Apple Synch as its all "over the air" http://www.daveswebsite.com/software/gsync/index.shtml
Guest mo_sjo Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Thanks. Downloaded and tested gsyncit and decided to purchase. It's a bit quirky and can slow down Outlook but i'll give it a shot.
