Guest d1mitrov Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Hey guys i have the Nexus One on T-Mobile in the US and unlike all the people complaining of not being able to stay connected to 3G i get 3G pretty much constantly however my speeds are really slow. Im in Tampa, FL and my speeds vary between 300-600kbps as compared to 1500-2500kbps on gfs mytouch. Any one else havin the same problem and do you think its due to the same reason all these other people have no 3G at all or constant switching between 3G and EDGE. Also under settings about phone status mobile network it is always switching between umts and hsdpa which i thought was supposed to stay locked on hsdpa. T-Mobile here in the US is running HSDPA 7.2 which means i should be getting better than a 500kbps average.... If you guys have any thoughts or suggestions please do share. P.S. i did contact T-Mobile and HTC the best i got was wait for the OTA or whatever they're working on and see if that fixes it...
Guest FLT Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 You'll have to wait for an update idd, not much else you can do (unfortunately) :)
Guest GuerillaZhou Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 im also on t-mobile USA and here in Champaign, IL(middle of cornfields) i only get UMTS with DL rate of around 0.8-1.0Mbs, and it usually stays on 3G but occasionally it would switch to EDGE

Guest Drakcol Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) I'd be thrilled if my n1 would be able to break 800mbps, though sadly it seems the tmobile network in these parts (northwest ohio) is lacking seeing as I get similar results with my g1. I guess I should just be happy with what I have it wasn't until a couple months ago that tmobile finally got 3g around here. Nevertheless here's my speed results: Speedtest.net test 1 ping 311 539 down 428 up test 2 ping 172 905 down (figures it'll break 800 as soon as I start complaining) 310 up xtremelabs speedtest test 1 804 down 137 up test 2 535.6 down 129.5 up Edited January 24, 2010 by Drakcol
