Guest Appelboom Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 (edited) Hio, I flashed my omnia with both steff and stev's roms and my net died on both roms. I tried custom configuring my net settings (http://www.hi.nl/web/show/id=268742 , sorry its Dutch), but that didn't help. Any chance I overlooked something? I googled it and browsed through both stev and steff's threads, nothing helped me :) Thanks in advance. Edited January 16, 2010 by Appelboom
Guest Billus Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Try changing the operator settings to a different phone carrier, wait 30 seconds and change back to your own.
Guest Rafael Lopez Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Hio, I flashed my omnia with both steff and stev's roms and my net died on both roms. I tried custom configuring my net settings (http://www.hi.nl/web/show/id=268742 , sorry its Dutch), but that didn't help. Any chance I overlooked something? I googled it and browsed through both stev and steff's threads, nothing helped me :) Thanks in advance. When I installed my first custom ROM, I had the same problem, and going through the steps on that site (on Omnia > Internet > handmatig instellen) actually did the trick (I don't speak dutch, but that's the right place to manually config the internet). It took me several hours though because I couldn't get the config right, and over-the-phone support wasn't capable of pointing me to the right direction. Trial and error won, in the end. In my new ROM I didn't have to manually config anything, which leads me to the idea that my carrier chip actually did the job for me. I don't know if you chip does this, if you were using mine, I'd say you try deleting all settings, removing your chip, leaving the device on for some time, then remove the battery, put the chip back on, turn it on and let the device auto-config (it prompts you on start-up).
Guest Appelboom Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 thanks for your replies guys, I will give it a try and let u know :)
