December update extraction

I would like to have the original sound from the December update. Is there a way to extract the UPDATA.APP file?

If not, i'll put back the December update (decup would be shorter :)) extract the files manually, and put them to the new rom's system. Does anybody know where are these files located? I know the drivers are from the original rom. These has been extracted from this file or from a running system?

If you were to extract the updata.app file, you would then have to unyaffs the system.img to get them.

The T-Mobile UK decup had these extra additions, which I've put in the tmobile_audio.zip:-

/system/media/audio/alarms/Alarm-Standard.ogg

/system/media/audio/alarms/Bird-Alarm.ogg

/system/media/audio/alarms/Plink-Alarm.ogg

/system/media/audio/alarms/Smile-Alarm.ogg

/system/media/audio/notifications/Notification-Normal.ogg

/system/media/audio/notifications/Notification-Standard.ogg

/system/media/audio/ringtones/Standard-Ringtone.ogg

/system/media/audio/ui/Download-Standard.ogg

/system/media/audio/ui/Shutdown_Default.ogg

/system/media/audio/ui/Startup_Default.ogg

/system/media/audio/ui/Warning_Default.ogg

You could use ADB to transfer them to your /system/media/audio/.... folders.

What to do if i dont have more space on the device?

Copy the files into the ROM and install the ROM again.
