Guest tombren Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 could anyone advise why operamini will not download on my pulse. Also is this the best browser for pulse.thanks in advance :)
Guest Bakes Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Get opera mini from the Market, not from the website. The reason why is that Android indeed does not use the same version of Java that any other phone uses. It's really not worth using tbh, it loads faster but the android interface is terrible.
Guest HunteronX Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 If you use the java application that is built into paul's custom roms for the pulse, you can install opera mini 5 beta 2 through it - which is much better in my opinion. You can get the beta from here, by visiting it with your phone: "m.opera.com/next" Hope this helps. :)

Pressing the back button takes you back to the java application. Annoying too :)
Guest HunteronX Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) Yes, that's true. If you want, you can use another app on the market - I think its called Javarunner, which adds shortcuts for j2me apps to the homescreen drawer/apps list - but i think the compatibility rate isn't as high.
