connecting to dropbear from modaco 1.2.2

I can't seem to connect to the SSH server built into the modaco custom rom 1.2.2

I have tethered my phone to the pc via usb, and identified its IP address on the LAN. I can ping my phone from my pc.

I have tried both port 22 and 2222, but both receive a Connection refused error before I even get a chance to enter the root password (which I was able to find on the about page)

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to enable the ssh server somehow or open the port on my phone?

Are you remembering to do to "[email protected]"? Also, in Settings>>About does it list a dropbear password? If not, dropbear isnt active
