adb pull /system/app/Contacts.apk your_backup_folder (backup it first! )

but it looks exactly the same (ugly level is the same...) with just color changed, right?

Really don't understand why Acer put the back and green key on the right hand side???!!!! so odd.....

And if the tabs buttons can be placed at bottom, it will be much more handy as the fingers don't need to go through the whole screen to the top.

Tried, works well, but background is black, should be easy to replace.

how did you manage to make it work? when I follow istructions (with v 2.8) and open contacts android says application is not installed..

Put it on SD, run recovery, select to apply any zip from SD, select, and its done.

Also good thing of this dialer is that since it is non-Acer, it supports all languages, just download customlocale, and voila!

It should be me, but it just doesn't work.. It looks like app is not installed, or the o.s. can't see it.

No problems when I push back stock Contacts.apk from acer..

It's just a workaround theme, I can't modify positions of the buttons :)

It's getting better. Why don't you match contacts & call log theme, with grey/black buttons, maybe flat or with 1px border?

I remember paul put on his mcr some java libs from aap rom. Maybe this is the point.

the dialer from xda didnt work for me (though that's what i want!)

It's getting better. Why don't you match contacts & call log theme, with grey/black buttons, maybe flat or with 1px border?

If someone can find me dialer numbers overlays in white for 240dpi I can make a black theme. Or give a contacts apk of anyone wvga screen phone.

I'm not going to make those overlays by hand .. that's lot of work :)
