Removing stock wallpapers from Launcher.apk

Hi,

I'm trying to repackage the stock launcher removing unwanted wallpapers, but I didn't manage to do it. The problem is that wallpaper galley (the one you access when you want to change background image) crashes when I open it.

I tried to do it in 2 ways:

1) removing the files from teh apk.

2) removing the files and touching an empty file with the same name.

Still no go.. :)
