The bootanimation.zip should be located in the rooted droid under /system/media/bootanimation.zip

if you have adb running from terminal on a computer

adb shell

mount -o remount /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system

exit

adb pull /system/media/bootanimation.zip /(WHEREVER YOU WANT IT ON YOUR COMPUTER)
