I've been noticing my battery seems to be draining very fast recently. I haven't timed it, but it seems like I might be able to get roughly 10-11 hours out of it with moderate use. Does that seem normal? I seem to remember getting more.

I've hard reseted and reinstalled all my programs, but I have no idea what could be doing it. I thought it might have been the most recent version of s2u2, but I downgraded and I don't think it's helped. I might try Pocket Shell out, just in case. Apart from that, I used SK Tools to move SPB Mobile Shell over to My Storage, and some have said that might have something to do with it (having to power the other drive, even while in standby). Just checking to see what other people are getting out of this.

Thanks.

When I first got the phone with Stock 6.1 ROM it lasted some 1.5 days with fair usage on the weekends 2 days.

After flashing to 6.5 the battery time whent down a bit but I also started to use the phone more.

Now over 1 year of usage it lasts around 1 day, when I go to bed and charge the phone it is at like 9-15%.

Today I am using M2D 6.5.3 ROM.

My omnia lasts for about 2-3 days with about 10-20 minutes of playing music using the speaker and texting for almost once every 10 mins :)

Hello,

Mine is running WM 6.5.3. I can get from less than a day to 3 days.

Using bluetooth/WiFi/GPS (or long phone calls) drains the battery very fast.

I have a spare battery, and did not notice any difference with it.

I'm running a M2D 23518 rom w/ 1% battery ,(waremike nurom :) )and my battery lasts all day (0615-2300). I text all day long, use my bluetooth headset, surf the web (not thru wifi tho), and have my email update every 15 min. However, I always put my phone on the charger when Im driving so Im sure that helps the battery life too. Also, regardless of the power left i always put it on the charger at night b4 bed. In my opinion, it all depends on whats installed on your phone, settings, and rom build.

Wow, I must be extremely lucky. If I go out for the weekend, I don't use my phone apart from texting and making a few phone calls and it lasts me around 3-5 days, maybe longer but I like to recharge it when I get home. At work, if I listen to the radio and connected to messenger, approx 10 hours or so, the battery goes down to 20-40% but I also play that Zenonia game when I'm on the train, so roughly an hour and a half. This is all in a day.

I experience similar results as to the OP. I get 11-12 hours of use with the things I want to do with the phone during the day. That is emailing, IMing, calling, and surfing the web.

However, I think we should all edit our posts and include the programs that we have installed that you probably think is consuming the most resources/battery life...

I suspect the biggest culprits to my drainage of battery is actual PUSH email using SEVEN, and Palringo which also polls constantly. I also use Opera Mobile 10 and play the occasional music. In addition, I don't text at all. Instead I have google voice paired with my push email so I really only email throughout the day (in place of actually texting).

I started to use Master Dee's 6.5.3 M2D rom and after a clean install I got a day and a half with everything I have running except Palringo. After the installation of palringo my battery life fell 2-5 hours depending on how much I used the program in a day.

When i got my phone, I had the original 6.1 ROM on it. I got 3-4 days off a battery with moderate use. I then used WM6.5 with M2D. Battery ran out every 2 days with moderate use. I then added SPB Shell 3.5. Battery life dropped to 8-10 hours. So i tried a clean 6.1 ROM with SPB Shell (as i love it), and i now get 1.5 days with moderate use, but usually stretch it out to 2 days

My findings: WM 6.5 uses more battery than 6.1, and SPB shell 3.5 sucks the battery...

with Stuzsy all in one manilla 19b installer (htc touch flo).

Also get magic button to kill apps.

Battery lasts easily 3days with moderate use. longer if u dont use it much

I'm running all kinds of apps, but really I've narrowed the problem to either S2U2 or Mobile Shell 3.5x. I'm on Telus so I'm forced to run their stock 6.1 rom and can't run any light or custom roms. This pretty much kills my Main Device storage, so I've been running MS3.5 on My Storage by moving the folder through SKtools. If Pocket Shield is a good substitute I can live without s2u2, but there's no way I'm living without MS.

I clocked it today, and with moderate usage, my battery went down roughly 50% in 5 hours. The meter could be wrong, but really, that's not good. Don't really want to have to choose between battery life and Main Device Storage space.

When I use it normally, I get 3-4 days battery life.

My record is one week and four days with only a few calls, texts and some Wi-Fi to update the home screen weather on Manila.

WM6.1 original rom, moderately light usage (few phone calls, some text messaging, ebook reading, bluetooth on every day while in the car): 4-5 days

Oh, and I have mobile shell 3.5 and S2U2 on it, so I don't really think they drain the battery too much

Hi,

with original 6.1 Rom, battery life was 4-6 days. (Bluetooth always on, moderate calling/smsing). Great.

Since I flashed 6.5 rom (different releases) and same phone usage, it drop to 1 or 1.5 day max

with same settings and usage, without being able to figure out the reason.

If someone finds a tweak, let me kno :-)

2 days, an hour internet a day, +- 20 sms a day and 15 min calling. It after the second day battery is at 50%, but I want some backup :)

i have done tests and have proved that the latest SPB Shell sucks the battery like nothing else. Didn't test S2U2 though. I am running both with a fairly poor battery life. As long as it lasts a day, it can be charged at night. I would much rather run SPB shell and S2U2 and sacrifice battery life than have the stock setup!
