ACER Liquid A1 - Camera Problem

Hi there.

My Liquid is giving me an error message "process com.android.camera" when i try to take pictures or use the video recorder. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? I already done the standard procedement of "restore the factory settings". I also try with a different software for the camera, tried to change the ROM, and i even bought a new SD card for the device. Nothing. I still get this error message.

Is there anyone with (or had) an similar problem like this?

Is this an hardware issue?

Should i send my Liquid to the warranty service?

camera is fixed in 2.1 dont worry it looks better than it ever did.... :D

But do you know similar problems like this one? is this a driver problem in 1.6?

(i can't take pictures or use the video camera because of this...)

To check, go to menu, settings, about phone

I suggest flashing to the latest one (2.000.16) try the stock, if that doesnt work then try Angios

yes my liquid also had the same issue, it was a cam driver issue.

I have the 1.008.00_EMEA_GEN1 ROM, but the problem came from the stock ROM, the update didn't fix anything! I did a search for this specific problem, but nobody had this kind of problem... the camera worked fine when i bought the phone, but after a few days, stopped working.

Well, i'm currently using your 2.1 ROM and the camera still doesn't work. It has to be an hardware problem...

Too bad! Let´s see what they do in Acer´s warranty service!

Just wondering if you tried to change your SD card, instead of using the 2GB that comes with the device. My camera worked for a few days, and then stoped working...but i has able to use it for a few days with a different SD card.

I give you more details about the phone status when i receive it.

I also have the same problem...someone solved or must I send my liquid to the ACER support?

If I must send it this is the 3rd time....... :huh: :P :blink: the first two times was the accelerometer.....

I sent my Liquid to warranty on 9 March, and i got it back yesterday, 27 April. The phone was defective, so Acer replace it and i got a new one. Try to change your SD Card (worked for me about 2 or 3 days, then stopped working again...). If you decide to activate the warranty, be patient, because Acer´s support really sucks.
