Bluetooth handsfree for music?

Hi,

Sorry for the noob question, but is it possible to use a bluetooth handsfree for general media / audio?

My handsfree shows up as connected to phone audio, and works for calls in my tests, but other audio seems to be directed to the external speaker. Is there a settings section or app to choose where to send audio? I've dug around, but found nothing so far.

If you have a stereo handsfree(mine is Samsung SBH-500), then it should work properly. Mine works well, but not too loud.

I just had a thought does the bug where your music library start playing randomly when you got earphones plugged in, does this bug also effect bluetooth headsets

I haven't noticed that happening. In fact the ability to play music / sounds via bluetooth would be a bonus.

Hmm, I'm trying with a mono handsfree, and call audio is properly routed, but all other media seems to be sent to the external speaker. Does anyone else get this?

Is there such a thing as an audio mixer app or settings to redirect this stuff? It seems like there should be.
