Guest GesaugeN Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Could someone explain to me why my pictures taken with i900 are so bad and blurry? Is there way to improve their quality? This one is taken in office with no lights on, only outside cloudy daylight. I've used highest quality and standard flash... also, how can I remove sounds of photo's shutter? Its so anoying...

In Settings on the camera, right at the bottom on the first tab there is anti shake, I use this and find it helps. Also, you can change sounds on the second tabs, I think there is a vibrate one. Stu

I can turn turn mute on on whole phone and then theres no sound on camera also, but I don't want that. I only want that camera has no sound...

This should help with the camera sound. http://www.samsung-omnia.org/how-to/how-to...-shutter-sound/ As to the shaking - I guess I can't help, sorry. Stu
Guest Gibeon Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Try to press the middle button (the trackpad-optical-thingy) instead of the shutter button. It's easier hold steadily

Stu thanks! Try to press the middle button (the trackpad-optical-thingy) instead of the shutter button. It's easier hold steadily the pictures arent bad due shaking but due camera it self! i tought thati900 had much sharper pictures... isn't there a way to improve camera quality? like new drivers or something?
Guest La Traviata Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I have taken good pics with my Omnia and also some very poor ones. The poor pics were all taken in low light/low contrast situations, where the camera seemed to have trouble focusing on anything in particular. I find the flash to be not very helpful, unless it is really dark, but you can try to increase the ISO and contrast settings. Even better, switch on the lights in the room, if this is an option.
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I'm willing to bet that the problem with the camera is not the camera or the lens itself, but the plastic shield over the lens. Either the opacity or the polarization of the shield probably isn't good enough. I doubt that a 5.0 megapixel camera - let alone one from Samsung - would be so problematic. I offer this opinion because this has been a universal problem with the phone. If you look back far enough in this forum's threads, you'll see that this is not the first time it's been discussed.
Guest Abqcub Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Even though its a 5 megapixel camera its still a phone camera. You can have all the megapixels you want but without a large enough lens and the little light processor plate (forget what its called) not being big enough, your going to get not so great pics. Best thing I can suggest is to shoot in an area with proper lighting, and try and stay as still as possible until the pic shows up on the screen.

That's a good point and one that I completely overlooked.
